A Manchester based retail technology specialist is looking for an Angular Developer to join their team. Working with an impressive portfolio of big-name brands, they have tracked success from the outset and are continuing to grow. Their technology helps to enhance shopping experiences within clothing retail and transform the way customer's buy products, making it both easier and more inspiring for the shopper's needs.
What will I be doing and who will I be working with?
They've recently launched an exciting project in a flagship store that involves incorporating RFID technology to connect the dots between the customer experiences on physical and digital level.
You will be working in a team of around 20 people and their roles vary between Developers, Project Managers, and the tech management team.
You will be working on a project for a well-known clothing brand to engage customers through a digital shopping function using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
Who am I?
The company are looking for someone who likes working with Angular6+ and TypeScript, and it would be great if you have worked with React, Flutter and AWS.
You don't need any previous retail sector experience but an example of how you can show you have a keen interest in developing the future of retail technology would be great.
As a member of the development team, you will be tasked with maintaining, enhancing, and improving the frontend infrastructure and frameworks, which are used by several digital client experiences and sales channels.
In terms of culture, the team are very open-minded and enthusiastic about tech. They majorly encourage Learning and Development and most of the team have been there for quite a few years and love it. If you're looking for a smaller team where you can settle in and contribute your unique ideas, you will be welcomed with open arms!
What are the benefits and where will I be based?
This is probably worth knowing before applying. They have a budget of up to £40,000 for the role but there is wiggle room for the perfect candidate.
They are based close to Manchester City Centre, with free parking and a tram stop nearby, and would like you to come into the office a few times a week. There are flexible working hours if you feel like having breakfast at home or need to leave early but twice a week on-site would be the minimum requirement.
The perks include a free lunch bought by the company for the whole team and this is an opportunity to get everyone together in a social environment and say a small thank you. They also organise exciting team-building events with food and drinks every quarterly - the last couple of team-building events have been axe throwing and go-karting, and they switch it up so that the team can always look forward to something new.
