A leading company UK based company are looking for a couple Graduate Systems Application Analyst's to join their IT team.
This family run business has been successfully operating for nearly 20 years and have now become one of the leading companies within their industry. They have seen great success across many different sectors and have been able to expand the team to nearly 2000 employees. However, the family feel culture remains prevalent throughout the company as they are heavily invested in training their employees so they can develop their skills and progress throughout their time with the company.
Initially, when you join the team, you will be provided with full training and support on the company's niche systems and processes. Once you and the team are confident you're up to scratch you'll then get involved with a range of different tasks.
These include providing support for a range of logistic systems, producing reports for customers and end-users, documenting any system changes adhering to company standards and developing and maintaining UNIX Shell scripts. You will be involved in big projects such as upgrading and implementing the logistic systems, developing integration processes between internal and external systems, and migrating solutions from test environment to production environment.
For this role, you are required to have / soon to have a Bachelor's degree in a technical subject; engineering or computer science. The office isn't easily accessible by public transport so a Full UK License, as well as your own mode of transport is required. Equally as important for the company is attitude. A keen willingness to learn and develop your skills will stand you in good stead here.
However, experience with the following is definitely desirable but not required;
** Experience with relation databases such as SQL or Oracle
** Strong written and verbal communication
** Knowledge of Shell Scripting
The salary on offer is circa £25K, and due to the nature of the position you will be based in the office on site.
