A well-established software company in Aberdeen is looking for a Mobile Developer to come in a re-develop their mobile app. The company have been around for years now and have had a mobile app for years as well. It's used by their clients and is completely functional, but they feel like it's the right time to revamp and improve it.

Up to this point, the Software Developers in the team have been maintaining things as best as possible and have done their best to patch things up whenever necessary, but without having a specialist Mobile Developer to lead the way with it the feel like it should really be re-developed. With this, they'd like to bring in a specialist Mobile Developer to lead and deliver the project.

The current app is built in native Xamarin, but they think that they'd be better going down the route of a cross-platform app using the likes of Xamarin, React Native or Flutter. Obviously with the app being cross-platform, the need someone that has experience across both Android and iOS. They are super flexible on which tech someone decides to go for - they care more about someone that has proven experience of delivering excellent mobile apps in the past. You'll have the opportunity to come in and take full control of the project and do things in the way you'd like which obviously makes a super exciting role for the right person.

The good thing is that you'll still have the support of the 5 or 6 people within the tech team but will be expected to take control of the design, architecture, development and delivery of the app. You'll be able to interact and get feedback from the client, so the app meets the users needs as well which is ideal. With that in mind, they're looking for someone that is at more of a senior level and someone that has strong people / stakeholder management skills along with the tech skills.

The company is based in Aberdeen and are ideally looking for someone to come up to the office once every month - they could potentially be flexible on this, but it'd be ideal for them if someone could. They can pay up to around £70,000 for the role dependent on someone's experience, potentially more for someone that is the perfect fit.
