Network Engineer required to join one of the largest retailers in the UK.

They are a company you will have defiantly heard of with over 700 retail stores spread right across the UK and they don't plan on stopping anytime soon! They are going through a period of digital transformation with huge investment into their ecommerce capabilities and technology playing a key part in their ongoing success. As a Network Engineer you will be reporting to the Infrastructure and Security manager with your main duty is to support, maintain and upgrade their network technologies. Whilst using your experience and expertise to help mentor junior IT members and support staff. Within this role you will also be supplying technical documentation and communication for maintaining and updating the logical, technical design and procedures for the network infrastructure.

You will have the following Skills/Experience

** A deep and demonstrable understanding in networking architecture, design, and deployment in live environments for both private and public cloud environments.

** Knowledge of Enterprise Network and security Vendors - ideally Cisco, Palo Alto Firewalls, Fortinet Firewalls

** Routing & Network Configurations (BGP, mBGP, EIGRP, VRRP, OSPF, LANs, WLAN, SDWAN, WANs, vLANs, RADIUS, IPsec VPNs)

** CIS Hardening practices (NIST Framework, Network Segmentation)

** Security Configurations (IDS/IPS, 802.1x, NAT)

**Collaboration and Project Management tools like Atlassian, Slack, Jira/Confluence/Crowd

The role is primarily office based (45 minutes from Liverpool City centre) however there is some flexibility around home working which can be discussed with your manager. They have a competitive salary coupled with a strong benefits package.
