A sustainability focused tech company are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join their Glasgow Squads!
The company are leaders in their field and have done some interesting and varied projects across the UK from Shetland to Glasgow, as well as further afield (the rest of the UK, Europe and the US). They have a huge range of products, as well creating bespoke applications for their clients - so there's no shortage of interesting projects to get stuck into. You will be involved in the design and delivery of the company's flagship product as well as delivering solutions to match the client and company standards.
You'll spend most of your time in the back end working with Java (they use Spring for most applications) and will have the chance to gain some really good cloud experience as they host multiple applications on AWS. There is scope to work full-stack here too if desired - but they do have a multi-disciplinary Dev team full of Java Developers, Front-End Developers, UX Specialists, DevOps Engineers, Architects, Scrum Masters + many more.
You'll ideally have experience with most of the following;
** Core Java
** Spring / SpringBoot
** Working in an Agile environment.
** RESTful microservices
Experience with the following is highly desirable;
** Jira
** Test Tools (Ranorex, Cucumber, Postman)
** Shell Scripting (Bash, PowerShell)
** AWS
They're able to offer salaries ranging from £50k to £60k dependent on experience, plus an annual bonus (based off company performance). Other benefits include 33 days holiday, 5% matched pension contribution and life assurance. They are looking at a hybrid working model (1-2 days a week in the office).
