Business Systems & Applications Manager required to lead a portfolio of business-critical enterprise systems within a global organisation undergoing continued technology modernisation in London.

This is a senior role with responsibility for ensuring core platforms are stable, secure, and evolving in line with business priorities, while also driving improvement, integration, and greater value from the application landscape.

The Organisation

This is a large, global organisation where technology plays a central role in how the business operates. Core systems underpin finance, people, knowledge management, client engagement, and service delivery, making this a high-profile and business-critical position.

The organisation continues to invest in modern platforms, cloud services, automation, and integration, with a strong emphasis on reliability, security, and scalability. Technology leaders work closely with senior stakeholders and are trusted to shape long-term direction as well as day-to-day outcomes.

The Role

You'll take ownership of a suite of core enterprise applications, setting direction for their ongoing development while ensuring they are robust, well supported, and aligned to wider organisational goals.

The system and application suite includes: Elite 3E, Intapp, iManage, ServiceNow, Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM (with consideration being given to a future move to Workday) and InterAction CRM

Candidates must be able to demonstrate hands-on ownership of at least two systems from this suite, including responsibility for roadmap planning, operational performance, and change delivery.

A key focus of the role is modernising and evolving the application landscape, including moving systems forward through improved integration, automation, and cloud adoption. You'll balance long-term roadmap planning with the realities of running mission-critical platforms in a global, 24/7 environment.

You'll also lead and develop teams, while working closely with senior stakeholders and third-party partners to manage priorities, resolve issues, and deliver change without disrupting the business.

What You'll Be Doing

** Owning the strategy, roadmap, and operational health of enterprise platforms

** Leading initiatives to modernise systems, improve integrations, and support cloud-based solutions

** Ensuring applications are reliable, secure, and well governed, with strong controls and documentation in place

** Working across the business to understand needs, manage demand, and translate requirements into practical technology outcomes

** Overseeing vendors and suppliers, holding them accountable for service quality, cost, and delivery

** Supporting complex incidents and live service issues when required, ensuring minimal disruption

** Playing a key role in system considerations related to growth, change, and integration activity

** Building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams

What They're Looking For

** Strong experience managing enterprise-scale applications in a complex, regulated, or professional services environment

** Demonstrable hands-on experience with at least two systems from the application suite listed above

** A track record of leading system integration, modernisation, or cloud-aligned initiatives

** Confident people leader with experience managing teams and third-party partners

** Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to balance competing priorities and influence at senior levels

** Solid understanding of live service, support, and operational resilience in a 24/7 environment

** Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets, licensing, and supplier contracts

The Offer

A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer, alongside hybrid working (typically 2/3 days per week in the East End office). This is an opportunity to step into a senior applications leadership role and make a meaningful impact on a critical technology landscape.

Candidates

He is the most honest, thorough and experienced recruitment consultant I have ever dealt with. If he can’t help you, he’ll tell you rather than spinning a yarn and putting you forward for jobs that aren’t suitable.

Technical Author – Edinburgh

A friend looking after me, that’s how I felt. His friendly character made the whole process way easier and enjoyable, he also managed to get me one of the most interesting work opportunities. I’m really glad our paths have crossed.

Software Engineer - Edinburgh

THE BEST test recruiter I’ve had the pleasure of working with, from start to finish. She provided me with training resources and is an organiser and participant in testing events. She really has taken the time to fully understand the testing principles.

Test Analyst – Aberdeen

She even was able to help get a firmer offer as I was offered two roles on the same day. I felt she went over and above to get the best offer she could for me without selling myself short.

QA Engineer – Glasgow

He goes out of his way to ensure you are prepared for your interview and I particularly appreciated his professional no nonsense approach to working with me to find a new position.

Infrastructure Architect – Glasgow

Absolutely fantastic throughout my interview process, and I cannot recommend him highly enough! First of all, he is an absolutely brilliant communicator and extremely reliable. On top of all of his brilliant recruitment skills, it was amazing to see how genuinely excited he was for me when I received my offer. This truly conveyed to me how much he cares about his clients.

Software Engineer – Edinburgh

Never have a I met a recruiter like him, who embeds himself in the community so thoroughly in a way that could only be genuine. From our conversations, he has shown an understanding of the industry I would expect from a local CTO.

MI Analyst – Bolton

She was friendly, communicative and informative, talked me through the process and gave me good advice at every stage.

Software Engineer – Manchester

I’ve never written a recommendation for a recruiter before, so it must show how impressed I am!

Software Developer – Northampton

Equal parts friendly and professional, never once coming across as simply going through the motions and made the whole thing as painless as possible for all parties

Software Developer – Glasgow

Compared to other recruiters I have worked with she seemed genuinely interested in helping me with my job search rather than just fulfilling quotas.

Software Developer – Lincoln

I can say with total sincerity I’ve never dealt with a more professional, knowledgeable and personable recruitment firm in fifteen years of contracting. They helped my wife and I relocate to Edinburgh with our five month old son and it’s in no small part to their tips and recommendations that we’ve settled in so quickly.

Transformation Consultant – Leeds

It was a breath of fresh air – She is professional and approachable and will be there to help you every step of the way. Other recruiters give you the hard sell and the ‘best friend routine’ to get you on board and then just leave you guessing, but not here… She’s the real deal

Solutions Architect – Glasgow

He stood out in a world of poorly informed, unreliable and frankly annoying recruiters as a breath of fresh air.

Data Scientist – Manchester

I have had dealings with the majority of recruitment agencies in this country and beyond. He really stands out from the crowd and the IT industry would benefit from more people like him.
