One of the UK's largest Tech companies with offices now located across the globe, are looking for several Software Engineers (ideally with strong commercial experience using back-end technologies) to join a couple of their Edinburgh squads.

The company first started out in Scotland over 10 years ago and are now considered as an absolute market leader in their field, and on average, they have over 100 million customers per month and are always striving for new innovative ways to build on this.

Their Edinburgh office boasts multiple Agile Squads, each consisting of circa 6 Engineers, with ranging levels of ability. They have openings in a couple of their squads - in each, you'd find yourself working on a SaaS based platform that's really built to scale using a host of really modern technologies.

Software Engineers that would describe themselves as fairly tech agnostic, or quick to learn would be really suited for this environment. However, to give you an idea, some of the back-end programming languages the company use are; Java, Python, NodeJS (a few more niche ones on occasion too; GoLang, Scala etc). If possible, experience with at least one of these will be handy (bonus points for Python). Each team also heavily work with AWS, Microservices and a few others use various DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraforms) - so you should have some cloud experience and be keen to build on this.

Unlike most organisations, you'll be heavily involved on all aspects of software projects from; Design / Architecture, Development, DevOps, Security and Test - so you should have knowledge of some of these processes and really enjoy working in demanding working environments.

Their Edinburgh base is central, just walking distance from Waverly station. They are hoping you'd be available to pop into the offices twice a week for collaboration days with the team - but there is some flex on that too.

Salaries for these roles are above market rate (which I'd be more than happy to discuss further) and are based purely on ability not years of experience, on top of a range of really strong benefits. They can also offer sponsorship for anyone already based in the UK.
