World-Class Technology Company founded in Edinburgh are looking for a skilled Software Engineer, with a couple years of Java experience, to join one of their core Agile Squads. Hybrid Working, Modern Tech and great culture on offer.
They've been operating now for well-over ten years and are one of the market leaders within their field - unlike most organisations right now, they're actually going through a period of growth as they're scaling up several of their squads, so they're in a great place.
You'll be joining an Edinburgh based squad of circa six Software Engineers, where you'll be responsible for developing one of the company's core market-leading products. You'll largely work in the backend with Java and AWS, but an appreciation for frontend within this team would be well suited. Although this squad is well-established there is still lots of opportunities to work on greenfield projects too - it's a really innovative and technically challenging environment.
Within this squad, and all squads at the business, they place a really strong focus on high coding standards and best practices so are looking for someone that has worked in this kind of environment before.
You'll ideally have experience with most of the following;
** Java
** Java Frameworks (Ideally SpringBoot)
** Cloud Services (AWS, Azure or GCP)
** Microservices
The following experience is highly desirable;
** DevOps Tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
** Working with Distributed Systems
They've got custom-built offices in central Edinburgh, which includes pool tables, games consoles, even their own Gym and much more. They do support hybrid working here and would hope people can work in the office ideally 1-2 days per week, but they do have some flex on this.
