Digital Project Manager required for a well-known and expanding Agency in Glasgow. This is a role for a Project Manager who is comfortable working across multiple projects and clients at once and who will work closely with both the software web development team and the clients.
The company:
They are a Digital Agency based in Glasgow with around 200 staff, and are looking to grow even more. Throughout Covid-19 and afterwards, they have continued to be very busy and feel lucky to have a diverse and large portfolio of clients. They continue to win lots of work that comes off the back of several new client wins over the last 12 months. Their clients range from finance to hospitality to travel, to worldwide event holders and they are really thriving.
They have a great office in Glasgow city centre and they would ideally have someone on a hybrid approach. A lot of their current work is building websites for a variety of clients and this is where the need comes to hire this Project Manager.
The role:
The organisation has a number of software clients and the development team are building several proper applications. You will be working closely alongside the Web Dev team and having an understanding in this technical area would be hugely beneficial. This role would be best suited to a Project Manager from a Digital background, ideally from an agency or digital consultancy. The key for this role is to work closely with both the clients and the development team and to understand their requirements.
Initially, you will join as the bridge between the Account Management and the Development teams, however eventually you will be dealing directly with the clients. You will need to be able to speak at a fairly technical level in order to understand their software requirements and pass this back to the Developers. This isn't a highly technical role, but having the ability to 'chat' about Web Development would be perfect. Currently, there is Trello software in place and having experience of this or a similar technology would be beneficial.
In short, the overall purpose of the role is to manage client projects by liaising with the client and the web/digital team to deliver the project on time, within budget and to the client specification.
This opportunity would suit an individual who would fit into their relaxed culture and isn't looking for a rigid environment. This is a position that can offer natural career progression within the company, whilst working for a people orientated business.
