I'm currently helping my client to find an experienced Test Automation Engineer for their long-term project in Tampere. The project is for a large industrial client.
Company
You'd be employed by a small Finnish tech consultancy that was established in 2017. They employ various senior-level tech experts, including developers, testers and project managers. Their company culture is very flat, and they encourage all their employees to voice their ideas and opinions.
The consultancy is specialised in challenging long-term projects that typically focus on building something new - they don't want to send their consultants to just do boring legacy work! They have offices in Helsinki and Tampere, but you'd typically work at the end-client's site (or remote / hybrid depending on their preference).
Job Description
The project that you’d join is for an industrial company that has a big office in central Tampere. Ideally you’ll work in the office 2-3 days per week. The site is easily reachable by both public transport and car.
In this position, you’d…
- Take part in integration and UI testing of a web-based tool
- Work closely with a development team
- Write and maintain test cases
The technologies that you’d work with include…
- Robot Framework and Python
- Selenium
- Playwright
- Jenkins
- CI/CD
- Docker / Podman
It’d be great if you have experience in most of the above. However, experience in Robot Framework and Python (5+ years) is the most important thing. If you have previous experience in working in large industrial projects – perfect!
You'd be employed on a permanent contract. This would be a long-term project with no end date in sight. We hope that you’d be able to start as soon as possible.
Compensation
The salary for this position will be max. 6000e per month. It’ll depend on your previous experience. It's a fixed salary, meaning you don't need to worry about your billings affecting your monthly income!
The benefits package includes e.g. comprehensive occupational health care and lunch, sports and culture vouchers.
Next steps
The deadline for applications is on 10.4.2024.

Please note that although Finnish language skills aren't required for this position, you must be located in Finland with a valid work permit at the time of applying.
