A really cool tech company in Edinburgh City Centre is looking for TypeScript Engineers to join the team. The company work on unique, ground-breaking products across varied industries such as history, literature, science, education, music and more. They pride themselves on bringing data to life, meaning that data is at the forefront of everything that they do. The way that they transform complex ideas into engaging and visually appealing products really is awesome!
Like everything else with the company, their office is really impressive and is based close to Waverley station, making the offices really accessible by tram and bus.
They're ideally looking for TypeScript skills but would consider people with strong JavaScript skills as well. Once onboard, you'll have the opportunity to work with ES6, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, React Native, PostgreSQL and GraphQL, WebGL and GLSL.
Of course, someone with the experience of that full tech stack would be nice, but they are happy to welcome Engineers from different technical backgrounds as long as you're passionate to learn new things. They aren't too fussy about a specific career path either - an Engineer with some of the tech stack and broad interests will do well here!
Looking past the technical side of the role, you should be used to having high levels of autonomy and accountability - and they love people that aren't afraid to put their own ideas forward. If you are a Senior Engineer, then you should have experience or be capable of mentoring other team members.
The salary on offer for the role ranges from £40,000 up to circa £75,000 depending on experience. Due to the collaborative nature of their work, the team goes in 3 times per week and works remotely twice per week - you can obviously go in more than this if you enjoy going into the office. As previously mentioned, the office is really impressive and is kitted out with Macbooks, 4K Screens etc, so it's a very enjoyable place to work.
